Introduction

Biblica, the NIV Bible’s worldwide copyright holder, was looking to have a better digital commerce experience for selling digital bibles. Their home-built Content Management System (CMS) was cumbersome to maintain and improve. Further complicating matters, there were bugs in the user experience between their eCommerce capabilities and the consumption of purchased content. It was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the two systems separately.

Solution

Biblica engaged NetRelations and Luminos Labs to develop and launch a new site experience using Episerver Web Content Management and Commerce. NetRelations focused on the CMS pieces, and Luminos Labs focused on the eCommerce pieces working together hand-in-hand.

Both teams worked to migrate previously federated experiences (between CMS and eCommerce) onto a single platform to deliver a unified experience across all user tasks.

Additional website features include:

  • Responsive Mobile Design

  • Spanish and English Versions of the Site

  • Consumer Support

  • B2B Bible Purchases

The Results

Biblica had a very successful implementation launching on time and on budget. The collaboration between Luminos Labs and NetRelations delivered a fresh, unified experience for reading the Bible online and making purchases of the Bible online within a single implementation of Optimizely’s Web Content Management (WCM) and Commerce Platform.

The website improved the average user’s time on site and increased the conversion rate for Bible purchases, allowing them to reach more people, on more devices with digital translations.
